Khloé Kardashian recently shared an update on her evolving relationship with ex-partner Tristan Thompson, with whom she shares two children, True, 6, and Tatum, 1.
In a candid interview on the SHE MD podcast, the reality star opened up about how their relationship has evolved from tumultuous romantic ties to a positive co-parenting partnership.
Kardashian, 39, reflected on her journey to motherhood, particularly her experience with surrogacy, and acknowledged Tristan, 33, as an “incredible father.”
Despite the challenges and mistakes Tristan made in their past, including cheating scandals that rocked their relationship, Khloé emphasized that their co-parenting dynamic is strong and that their shared focus is the well-being of their children.

“We get along so well now,” Khloé said.
“We’re not meant to be together, but he was meant to be the father of these kids.”
She noted that their relationship is grounded in mutual respect, and expressed her gratitude that they are able to maintain a cordial and cooperative relationship for the sake of their kids.
“My parents got along so well,” she said, hinting at the positive example set by her own upbringing.
Tristan and Khloé’s tumultuous relationship timeline began in 2016. After several ups and downs, including Tristan’s public infidelity just before True was born, the couple tried to work through their issues but ultimately separated for good in 2021 after the news broke that Tristan had fathered a child with Maralee Nichols.
Despite these challenges, Khloé has emphasized that she is not open to rekindling a romantic relationship with him.
During a 2023 episode of The Kardashians, Tristan discussed the importance of taking responsibility for his mistakes and committing to being a good role model for his children.
He acknowledged his past mistakes, including his infidelity, and expressed a desire to be transparent with True and Tatum about their father’s actions.
“Daddy failed you and Mommy… Mommy didn’t fail you,” he shared during a conversation with Khloé, showcasing his determination to be a positive influence on their children moving forward.
