Liz Plank, co-host of The Man Enough podcast alongside Justin Baldoni, announced her resignation on Monday following allegations from Blake Lively accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment and orchestrating a smear campaign against her.
In an emotional Instagram post, Plank shared, “I’m writing to you today to let you know that I have had my representatives inform Wayfarer that I will no longer be co-hosting The Man Enough podcast.
Thank you for trusting me with your hearts and stories, for holding space for mine, and for making this show what it was. I will miss you, the listeners, so much. I love what this community created together with every fiber of my being, and that’s because of you.”
Baldoni, Plank, and Wayfarer Studios president Jamey Heath, who was also named in Lively’s allegations, launched The Man Enough podcast in 2021.
The show, according to its website, seeks to explore contemporary masculinity, delving into topics like relationships, mental health, body image, privilege, and fatherhood.
It aims to provide a safe space for diverse perspectives, rejecting the polarization of masculinity and encouraging inclusive conversations.
“As this chapter closes for me, I remain committed to the values we’ve built together,” Plank added. “Thank you for being here, for trusting me, and for being by my side for the last four years.
We all deserve better, and I know that together, we can create it. I will have more to share soon as I continue to process everything that has happened. In the meantime, I will continue to support everyone who calls out injustice and holds the people standing in their way accountable.”
Since its inception, The Man Enough podcast has been nominated for four Webby Awards and has featured guests such as Drake Bell, Anthony Ramos, Colton Underwood, Brett Dier, and Hank Azaria.
Plank, an accomplished author and journalist, is known for her 2019 book For the Love of Men: From Toxic to a More Mindful Masculinity.
Following Lively’s allegations against Baldoni, Hollywood figures have expressed their support for the actress.
Organizations like SAG-AFTRA and notable individuals, including her The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants co-stars and director Paul Feig, have publicly backed Lively in the ongoing controversy surrounding her It Ends With Us co-star and director.
