Reports have surfaced suggesting that Angelina Jolie might be romantically involved with British rapper Akala, eight years after her separation from Brad Pitt.
However, conflicting accounts have emerged, leaving many wondering whether the pair, who reportedly crossed paths at a charity event, are romantically linked or simply maintaining a close friendship.

On October 21, the Daily Mail claimed that Akala has been helping Jolie explore Black British history, possibly inspiring material for her future film projects.
As Jolie prepares for her return to acting with Maria and continues her work under her production deal, speculation about her seeking new creative ideas for upcoming roles or projects doesn’t seem far-fetched.
An insider revealed that the two were introduced through a shared charitable initiative and that Jolie has taken an interest in Akala’s activism as well as his sister’s music.
Akala’s sibling, Ms. Dynamite, is a well-known UK rapper. Allegedly, Akala has brought Jolie into his circle of trusted friends and family, and the duo has been spending considerable time together.
On the other hand, a different source refuted claims of a romantic connection, insisting that Akala is currently in a relationship with his business partner, Chanelle Newman.
Despite being seen alongside Jolie at events like the Venice Film Festival and the Maria premiere afterparty, where he even interacted with Jolie’s son, Pax, this source maintains there is no romantic involvement.
Following the Daily Mail article, another source close to Jolie stated that her bond with Akala remains purely platonic. Speaking to People, the source clarified, “They are professional collaborators and close friends,” further emphasizing that Jolie is focused on her family and not dating anyone.
Back in late August, another insider echoed similar sentiments, firmly denying any romantic relationship between Jolie and Akala. This source explained that Jolie and Akala have been friends for several years and share a strong mutual interest in humanitarian work.
They also noted that Jolie speaks highly of Akala and his commitment to social causes, with both having worked on projects centered on global human rights issues.
Given Jolie’s past divorce and ongoing legal disputes with Brad Pitt, it’s understandable that she might prefer to keep her personal life away from public scrutiny. Whether the rumors hold any truth or not, it’s unlikely Jolie will confirm or deny them anytime soon.
