A recent reunion at the Copa America Final reignites Shawn Mendes rumors (@camila_cabello/Instagram)

Recently, she was seen with Shawn Mendes at the Copa America Final in July 2024. During her interview on “Call Her Daddy” in 2024, she revealed some insights into her romantic history. Learn more about her past relationships below!

Drake

In December 2023, Camila was spotted engaging in conversation with rapper Drake during a vacation in Turks and Caicos. The two were seen enjoying each other’s company on a boat, with Drake appearing quite happy as they chatted.

Additionally, they shared some thrilling moments riding jet skis. Four months later, during a March 2024 podcast episode of “Call Her Daddy,” Camila discussed this trip with host Alex Cooper.

“You were on vacation … with Drake,” Alex remarked, prompting Camila to respond with a playful, “Oh gosh. It was a vacation plus some work.” Winking at Alex, she added, “So, it was vacation plus more,” before expressing her affection, stating, “I love that man. I love him. … We all love him.”

Shawn Mendes (Again)

Rumors sparked when Camila and Shawn Mendes were seen together at Coachella on April 14, 2023, where they were spotted chatting, hugging, and kissing.

This sighting led fans to speculate about a potential reconciliation. A video capturing this moment circulated on social media, igniting discussions among fans about their relationship status. Shortly after, Camila posted a song clip on Instagram that seemed to reference Shawn.

Although she didn’t name him directly, she hinted at a potential meet-up at Coachella, as the song was recorded just two days before their reunion.

In the clip, she sings, “How come you’re just so much better? Is this going to end ever? I guess I’ll f*** around and find out. Are you coming to Coachella? If you don’t it’s whatever, if you do, it’s all I’ll think about.”

The buzz surrounding their Coachella kiss was hard to ignore, as Camila and Shawn had previously been in a two-year relationship that ended in November 2021.

After rekindling their romance, they were spotted together on multiple occasions, including enjoying concerts and going out for date nights while holding hands. Sadly, reports surfaced in June 2023 that they had parted ways once more, just two months after their reunion.

Austin Kevitch

In early April 2022, Camila participated in a video for Vogue, where she shared her skincare routine and discussed her relationship status following her breakup with Shawn.

“Now that I’m single, I wear a lot more lipstick and red lips and brown lips,” she remarked during her makeup tutorial. “I don’t like the feeling of kissing someone with gloss on.

It’s a lot. So now that I’m not kissing anybody, it’s gloss time, baby!” A few months later, she sparked romance rumors with Lox Club CEO Austin Kevitch when they were seen together strolling in Los Angeles. Their relationship seemed to blossom when they shared a passionate kiss during a lunch date in August 2022.

The couple kept their romance private, with Camila appreciating the lack of public scrutiny. A source told HollywoodLife, “She loves that he’s in tech instead of show-business, it’s a first for her and she’s enjoying it.”

They were spotted again in November 2022, leaving dinner at Giorgio Baldi while laughing together. Camila was so amused that she doubled over in laughter as they walked to their car. However, by February 2023, it was reported that the relationship had come to an end.

Shawn Mendes

Camila and Shawn first crossed paths in 2015 when they collaborated on the song “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” At that time, they maintained that they were just friends. It wasn’t until 2019, after working on the song “Senorita,” that they became romantically involved.

Camila reflected on their initial feelings during a 2019 interview with Rolling Stone, stating, “I don’t think we knew what to do with those feelings.

It was this awkward thing where we both liked each other, but we weren’t together.” Their bond grew stronger, with the couple spending the pandemic together before they officially ended their relationship in November 2021.

In her first interview after the breakup, Camila attributed their split to personal growth. “My focus has really shifted,” she explained. “I think as I get older, yeah, the priorities change. And I feel like that was that way for both of us.”

The breakup was amicable, and they were later photographed hanging out as friends in early 2022. Their breakup influenced their new music, with Shawn hinting at their split in his single “When You’re Gone,” while Camila shared her side in her song “La Buena Vida” from the album Familia. Both emphasized in interviews that they remained on good terms.

Despite their breakup, Camila and Shawn were seen together again at the Copa America final in Miami in July 2024, where they enjoyed watching a soccer match between Colombia and Argentina. They also attended the 2024 Video Music Awards separately, showcasing their individual talents.

Matthew Hussey

Before her relationship with Shawn, Camila had a brief romance with British life coach Matthew Hussey. They reportedly hit it off after meeting at the Today show in 2018 and were later seen together at Vanity Fair’s Oscars after-party in 2019.

The couple’s breakup became public on June 25, 2019, but HollywoodLife confirmed they had already parted ways about three weeks earlier. This announcement coincided with the release of Camila and Shawn’s sultry collaboration on “Senorita.”

Austin Mahone

During her time with the girl group Fifth Harmony, Camila referred to YouTube star Austin Mahone as her boyfriend back in 2014. Their relationship lasted nearly a year before they separated.

Reflecting on their time together, Camila told Seventeen, “I don’t regret anything. It was my first kiss, my first love. It’s important to learn about liking somebody and being swept away, but it wasn’t meant to be.”
